Aditi Chakraborty a student of English literature took to painting from a very early age and gradually art became a passion for her. Though she does not have any formal training in art this has not stopped her from creating her own abstract style. Aditi Chakraborty’s paintings are expressions of her innermost feelings; her emotions and vital experiences of life and her interpretation of these experiences. Eminent literary figures also motivate her in her endeavours and this is portrayed on her canvasses. She draws her inspiration from nature and her surroundings. Vivid colours and textures of the seasons; blooming flowers and leaves; the changing colours of the skyline, have broadened her vision that has culminated into a radiant panorama on the canvas. In her own words, ‘ I never draw or plan before I start a painting. I only have a vision or a feeling of what I want to project and I keep working on it until I get the desired effect. ‘
