Education —  B.F.A. from Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur in 2003 and M. F. A. from Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur in 2005.

Surender Singh uses a variety of mediums, colours, textures and patterns in his compositions to, as he puts it, ‘ tell a story from nature’. Light and dark hues as well as contrasting shades are melded together to form textures and patterns reminiscent of water, grain, glass and cloth, all quite deliberately so as to form ‘a drama of colours with a three dimensional effect’.
